LR launches the LR GLOBAL KIDS FUND

Everyone deserves the opportunity to change their lives – ever since LR Health & Beauty Systems was first founded in 1985 this concept has been integral to our corporate philosophy and is reflected in our sense of social responsibility. For example, LR has for many years been a supporter of both local institutions and prominent aid organizations that devote themselves to people in need.

With the official launch of the LR GLOBAL KIDS FUND this commitment is taking on a whole new aspect. The international dimension adds new and trend-setting significance and substantially boosts the potential of our endeavors.

Our motto is simply to work “for a promising future”. The LR GLOBAL KIDS FUND offers support in situations where the need is most often overlooked: Right on our own doorsteps. That means taking specific, hands-on, local responsibility in each of the 30 countries worldwide where LR has a presence: “Day in, day out, the media are full of reports of children battling illness or starvation, or who have been mistreated, or who have no chance of a proper education. In Europe alone there are 19 million children living below the poverty line,” explained LR General Manager Dr. Jens Abend.

The LR GLOBAL KIDS FUND aims to help. In more than 30 countries in which LR is present, we are actively seeking local organizations whose projects offer suffering, needy children the chance of a life worth living.

Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France and Portugal are setting the pace. These countries have already each chosen an institution and a project that will receive their long-term support. You can read about these on the new web site www.lr-global-kids-fund.com

“We can’t change the world overnight, but we can make some small change each day,” added Dr. Abend. As the initiator and chairman of the board of the LR GLOBAL KIDS FUND, he emphasized: “In the markets in which we operate we aim to offer as many children as possible the prospect and the opportunity to take their future into their own hands.”

Since 1 January, every one of the more than 2 million parcels that LR Health & Beauty Systems dispatches worldwide each year carries the LR GLOBAL KIDS FUND logo. The message is clear, “Each parcel counts!” The donations generated as a result of this campaign will benefit children’s aid projects in each individual country.

“Now at last through the LR GLOBAL KIDS FUND we can take action and provide targeted, transparent and effective support where it is most urgently needed.”
